Yummy Comfort Oatmeal
This is my all-time favorite that I fix several times a week during the fall and winter months.
- 2 cups of uncooked Rolled Oats
- ¼ cup of Nut Butter (my favorite is almond butter)
- 2 cups of Hot Water
- 2 scoops of Protein Powder (Salted Caramel is my favorite)
- 2 cups unsweetened Almond Milk or your favorite milk substitute or milk
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 4 T. Flax seed meal
This recipe is so simple and easy to make. I use hot water from my coffeemaker and pour 2 cups of water into a bowl with 2 cups of rolled oats and ¼ cup of almond butter. Set aside while mixing the other ingredients in another bowl. Combine all ingredients into one bowl and enjoy. I will sometimes add chopped figs and dates to the oatmeal.
